The knowledge of the healing power of plants has been passed down for many generations in Africa and all across the world. However, more research is being done by PhD students Bianca Payne and Isa Lambrechts to scientifically prove how effective South African plants are for acne, aging and oral health.

During their extensive research Ms Payne and Lambrechts founded Bylde Botanics a cosmetics plant extract manufacturing company which supplies cosmetic brand owners and formulators with scientifically validated, locally sourced natural actives for applications in acne, anti-aging and periodontal health. Blyde Botanics are also the 2019 GAP Biosciences special recognition winners.
