Business plan

At The Innovation Hub entrepreneurs are assisted to develop and finalise a business plan with advice from business mentors, venture capitalists and legal professionals. Entrepreneurs also receive free patenting/trade mark/copyright advice from Adams and Adams, a leading South African patenting firm. View a framework for such a business plan.

Funding

Through its royalty model the Maxum Business Incubator at The Innovation Hub assists start-up companies, who generally have limited resources for investment in overheads, by subsidising rental rates for office space and meeting rooms, as well as for business mentorship. Companies only pay for these services after graduating from the incubation programme and pay Maxum a royalty of 2% of annual turnover for the equivalent period that it participated in the incubation programme.
