Congratulations to all the graduates present today

We are pleased to be celebrating this day with our programme sponsors who contributed their time and funding to ensure that this programme makes a difference in the lives of South African youth in the Green and ICT sectors.

The post-graduate students in the Green and ICT sector become very successful in industry or in starting theirown businesses. It is pleasing to know that some of them are already employed by the likes of Standard Bank, Nedbank, Oracle and Hollard, to name a few.

For this current cohort, we are proud to share with you that in terms of employment, CoachLab received 100% employment absorption and the current Green Learnership students are already absorbed by the following companies:

  • Lamor Solar
  • Alteram Solutions
  • Broadband Solutions
  • Rural Development and Land Reform
  • Eskom
  • City of Tshwane
  • Sanlam

The Coachlab® programme is aimed at addressing scarce skills in the skills development sector and add to other focused projects and initiatives that The Innovation Hub Management Company drives. These include the Business incubators such as Maxum, the Climate Innovation Centre South Africa, mLab Southern Africa, BioPark@Gauteng, Gauteng Innovation Competition, OpenIX and EkasiLabs

On behalf of the Chairperson of the Board of The Innovation Hub Management Company, Dr Tshilidzi Ratshitanga, as well as the rest of the Board, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the sponsors for spending your time, support and sharing your expertise to develop future leaders; this programme is a success because of you.

We would also like to thank the support team that has worked tirelessly to ensure that this event becomes a success:

  • The Marketing and Comms and Conference Venue

A special mention to The Innovation Hub’s Skills Development team: Ms Gopolang Setumo and Ms Hlengiwe Tshabangu.  These are the people who made all this possible and continue to make things happen.

To all the graduates, I wish you all the best in your careers, however these well wishes may not be important other than the request to:

  • Be the excellence that obliterates doubts in your imminent journey of success
  • Be the impact that is a reference point for mentorship that builds and lifts others to success
  • Be the catalyst to positive change that this country needs

Lastly, be the best version of yourself, as a gift to humanity. By so doing you would make us proud.

Thank you.
