African Utility week is a platform where african power, water utility, engineers and solution providers in the green ecosystem convene for three days for unlimited networking opportunities. Delegates, exhibitors and visitors will be afforded an opportunity to engage and seek possible solutions for challenges around power generation, metering, clean energy, finance, reliability, water supply or energy efficiency. The three day convention will be host to networking sessions for 1200 delegates, 250 exhibitors, and conferences.

Sustainable Power Generation develops waste-to-energy solutions in Africa and locally designs and manufactures containerized power generation equipment.

Numerous events will be hosted over the course of the week; amongst these activities are the awards to be held today, 17 May 2017 and will recognise -individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the industry. We are pleased to announce that our very own Dr Rethabile Melamu, General Manager for the Green Economy Programme, has been nominated in the category for Outstanding Woman of the Year awards: Power/Water category for her work in the field of sustainable energy.
