CoachLabbers celebrate with a style...

On Project Presentation day, 15th May 2009!

CoachLabbers celebrate with a style...
We were actually relieved that our presentation went well and our project managers were happy with the work that we have done so far.  The one thing left of us was to celebrate!!  We were then asked to go to secluded place within The Innovation Hub, which was a very peaceful and lovely stall farm.  We did not expect that because we thought The Innovation hub was full of innovative, big and small businesses, but not horses and chickens. It was a worthwhile experience to see another peaceful side of The Innovation Hub.
Well, we had arranged with Europa Restaurant to provide us with food and we arranged drinks.  Most of us were excited about what was going to happen and wondered whether there would be other guests.  We walked from our offices to the stall farm, which was quiet a long walk, and also reminded us of when we went to the Magaliesburg Retreat for a team building session.  We started to talk about the good time we had then and when remembering just how much fun we had.  We could not help but anticipate on how the lunch was going to turn out.

When we arrived, the food was already there and everyone was ready to eat.  The food was so lovely and we even spoke about organising a similar session very soon.  Then the fun started!!  We played music and started dancing, poking at each other and just having fun.  The whole team accredited Shane Mphahlele, one of the MTN-sponsored students, who showing us his dance moves which was quiet entertaining.
Some of us were a bit uptight and did not really have much fun, probably shy.  The session gave us the opportunity to relax and forget about work and gave us a chance to get to know each other, socialise on a less official setup (play a little!) outside the office environment.
Paul Bisogno, The Innovation Hub’s Marketing and Business Development Manager also joined us – it was such an honour to have his company.  We shared a lot of stories with Paul, and also commented on his blue AUDI RS4 - it rocks!  It was good, I like liked the togetherness, seeing other peoples different personalities and having a new perspective of who they are when they are in their comfort zones!
Everything about the event was cool – the food, music and great company.  WE really needed to reconnect with our inner self, as well as nature.  We would like to thank Gopolang Setumo, CoachLab Coordinator, for suggesting this experience as well as session to us.
We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely have another session, only this time it will be for the entire day......
