As part of its objective in promoting the science park model and showcasing its achievements, The Innovation Hub hosted a delegation from Slovakia which was led by the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Economy, Mr. Peter Ziga on 27 February 2009. The delegation was hosted by Activator Manager; Jeanette Morwane and Marketing Assistant; Nkhulu Maboya.
The objective: to showcase what South Africa has to offer in terms of Information Technology, as well as the value of finding most of these companies under one roof as part of The Innovation Hub’s ICT cluster development initiative.
The delegates were treated to a presentation about The Innovation Hub, a short tour of the facilities, as well as presentations from resident tenant companies that included contributions from Innovation Lab, Q-sens and TMi Consultancy.
Other members of the delegation included Mr. Miroslav Trebula: Director of International Trade, Ministry of Economy; Mr. Jaroslav Bobrik: Department Africa and near East, Ministry of Economy; Mr. Dusan Jurik: Industrial Strategy, Ministry of Economy; Ms. Kaszasova: General Director, Ministry of Finance; Mrs. Halikova: Ministry of Finance; Mr. Igor Lichovsky: General Director of Exim Bank; Mrs. Patricia Zacikova: SARIO Investment Development and Trade.
South African representatives that accompanied the delegation included Ms. Noncedo Mviko, Ms. Mmaphuthego Zitha, Mr. Madume Hangule.
