IEC Introduces Youth Ambassadors
On 19 February, the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) launched the Youth Ambassadors for Electoral Democracy programme at The Innovation Hub.

The event marks the commitment of the IEC to work with the youth of South Africa. Central to the programme’s objectives is the need to instil a desire amongst the youth to participate in democracy.
The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Adv. Pansy Tlakula, says “the Electoral Commission is proud to announce the 18 eligible and willing young South Africans who have taken the pledge as pioneers of the programme.”

Participants in the programme include, amongst others, local entertainment and sport celebrities Natalie du Toit, Danny K, David Kau, Brian Habana, and numerous other talented youths. For more information
