PRECINCT TENANT NEWS:
SRM Technologies is off to Copenhagen!
Resident Tenant selected for TechChange ICT in Denmark

“There are only 10 kinds of people in the world, those who can read code, and those who can’t.”

SRM not only reads code, they have, in fact, become renowned for it. SRM Technologies is one of a select group of only fourteen ITC companies, from seven countries, invited to represent their firms at TechChange ICT 2009, on 22 – 28 February 2009, in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The event is an initiative by the Danish International Development Assistance (Danida) as supported by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development.
The objective of the programme is to facilitate contacts between Danish companies and Developing Countries, in the IT sector. Of the 14 companies selected, from countries such as Bangladesh, Egypt, Nepal, Uganda and Vietnam, two are from South Africa; Kakanyo Business Solutions and our very own SRM Technologies. “I am very pleased and feel privileged to have been selected”, says CEO and founder, Wilhelm Greyling.

The event was marketed, in the preceding months, to 1100 Danish IT companies, with detailed profiles of each participant. In many cases pre-arranged meetings have been set up with interested parties. Through this initiative, Danita's Business to Business Programme in Asia, Africa and Latin America, aims to establish “long term commercially viable partnerships”, with companies in the Developing countries. Its aims are to grant participants access to Danish know-how, as well as opening new markets and development opportunities for Danish companies, in return.

SRM Technologies graduated from The Maxum Business Incubator in May 2005. They have since gone from strength the strength, recently posting a 62% increase in turnover. Though they are established in a vast array of disciplines within the Microsoft® Solutions Framework, their competitive edge lies in their ability to deliver a world class product at up to 50% less than their European counterparts. SRM Technologies was founded in 2003 and currently employs 15 people. They specialise in developing software in the field of process automation and information management systems and solutions.

SRM Technologies are being marketed through Transtech IT as a company seeking either to find a Danish partner wishing to outsource their development, or for the purpose of setting up long term off shoring partnerships. For this they are ideally suited through years of experience in the field. They currently enjoy a major presence in Europe through an initial Joint Venture with Bidvest in Africa for companies in the UK.

Armed with only a laptop, business cards and brochures, Wilhelm Greyling will represent SRM’s innovative approach to IT solutions, and showcase their proudly South African know-how to an international audience.
