New networking club brings the beauty out in people
Beautiful People is a renaissance concept, born out of the vision of its founder and President Wayne Ellis, of helping people find happiness. The organisation's philosophy is to help 'beautiful people' to meet other like-minded people through an event and membership-based process. Club members are guaranteed that only people with the objective of personal and business networking will qualify as members. According to Hannelie Venter, head of the Pretoria franchise, this guarantee is based on a strict admission process wherein all prospective members are interviewed to determine their suitability. "All our networking events are by invitation only. This gives our members the peace of mind of knowing that every Beautiful Person that they meet has been thoroughly interviewed and shares the same values", she says. Venter, who is a qualified social worker and Life Coach, says that professional people in today's world are simply too busy to find and meet new, like-minded people. Beautiful People appeals to all types of professionals, whether they are single and seeking companionship; out of circulation because of business pressure; or simply want to participate in sophisticated, cultured social interaction in which they can involve their life partner or spouse and family. The club's goal is to allow their members to enhance their lives and social interactions with complete confidence - whether they are on their way to success or have already arrived at the top. Each member receives national platinum status and entry to events around the country. Members are invited to attend a variety of sophisticated and fun events, from sundowner drinks and cocktail evenings to lavish dinner dance evenings and tranquil Sunday lunches in the bushveld. The club's travel partners contribute romantic ocean liner cruises and hot air balloon safaris across the Serengeti. Venter adds that in addition to building social relationships, the vision of helping people to find happiness is deeply rooted in the ideals and values that Beautiful People strive for. "Our members are Christians who live according to strong ethical principles and have purpose and direction in their lives". These beautiful people have been blessed with a talent to accumulate wealth and financial success, which has given them status and recognition in the business world and they reinforce their self-image by doing good for others. In support of this ideal, the Pretoria franchise will be running an after-school volunteer programme for under-privileged children in the area. Venter will be volunteering her own time to provide club members with life coaching and will hold motivational talks throughout the year. "What we really want to do is make sure that our members find true contentment and learn to make time in their lives for having fun", she says. Venter believes that, as successful and hard-working business people, the residents at The Innovation Hub will derive benefit from Beautiful People and hopes that she will see the club's membership grow as a result of being located at the precinct. "The Innovation Hub already has such an uplifting and positive vibe and we really hope that Beautiful People can help to spread and grow that spirit".
