Ain't no mountain high enough
Seven very tired but jubilant people descended Mount Kilimanjaro on 16 October, after conquering Uhuru Peak, Africa's highest summit. The success of The Innovation Hub's 'Innovation To The Top' project will, however, not be remembered so much for this feat, but rather for the incredible obstacles that were overcome in reaching the summit.

Performance management made easier
The recent deal between MCC Contracts (Marikana Platinum Mine) and SkillsTrac highlights the ability of junior management staff and lower level supervisors to use web-based performance and competence management software successfully. Marikana Platinum Mine has implemented SkillsTrac™ - an online performance and competence monitoring solution - to monitor staff performance.

Maxum incubatee turns up the frequency on innovation
In October 2007, the Maxum Business Incubator welcomed another participant in incubation to The Innovation Hub precinct. Bogosi IT Solutions is a young black-owned company, focused on integrating and introducing Radio Frequency (RF) Technology and its extended capabilities in various environments.

TIH residents partner in development of ground-breaking asset auditing system
Neighbours at The Innovation Hub have collaborated in the development of a ground-breaking digital asset auditing system designed to enhance service delivery and the fiscal and performance management of infrastructure projects.

World class IT training for the people by the people
As part of the culmination of a four year partnership with the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) and Ipelegeng Community Centre in Soweto, TCI-Thoreb, a resident at The Innovation Hub is planning the official launch of the Ipelegeng Cisco Networking Academy. It is envisaged that the Academy will evolve into a fully fledged national centre located at The Innovation Hub, with satellite centres all across the country.

Unique drug compliance system puts the patient first
Health care services company, Health Window™ - a resident at The Innovation Hub - has launched their innovative Pre-Dispense™ reminder service aimed at increasing levels of compliance and persistence among patients on chronic medication. The service will be available in 50 Clicks Pharmacies across Gauteng.

Happening @ the Hub
The Innovation Hub held a number of successful events which included the last seminar to residents at The Innovation Hub by the People Business Group for the year, the Corporate Golf Day and INNOV8 with Don MacRobert.
