Tanzanian Prime Minister visits The Innovation Hub

Blue IQ and the Gauteng Economic Development Agency (GEDA) facilitated a visit to South Africa during July by Tanzanian Prime Minister, Mr Amani Abeid Karume. The First Lady, Madam Shadya Karume, as well as Education Minister Haroun Suleiman and officials from the Tanzanian High Commission accompanied him on this visits to Blue IQ's Pretoria-based projects The Innovation Hub and the Automotive Supplier Park.

Hosted by the Hub's Corporate Affairs Manager, Tsietsi Maleho and Blue IQ's Vuyiswa Stephens, the visit started off with a presentation on the Science Park model adopted for the Hub and a talk by Dave Lockwood, MD of the Naledi 3D Factory, a company that specialises in the use of virtual reality to create 3D learning tools for community upliftment in the region. The Naledi3d Factory is a tenant at the Hub.

The visit ended with a tour of The Innovation Hub facilities and was followed by a visit to the City of Tshwane Municipal offices where they met the Mayor, Dr Gwen Ramokgopa. The day ended with a visit to the Tanzania High Commission in Pretoria.
