Entrepreneurs share learning at Hub's P•O•W•E•R Breakfast

In collaboration with Technology Top 100, the Hub arranged for two successful entrepreneurs, whose companies both received the "Most Promising Emerging Technology Top 100 Enterprises" for 2005 awards, to attended this year's second P•O•W•E•R Breakfast in May. The event was held at the Hub's Conference Venue in Pretoria.

An INNOV8 member catches up with Oxyrane CEO, Michael Campbell to find out more about achieving success as an entrepreneur.

Infoslips CEO, Alan Burger (left) chats with Duncan Raftesath of the Innovation Fund (right) and Martin Manmohan (middle) from the Hub's maxum Business Incubator.

An attentive audience, around the breakfast tables in the Hub's Conference Venue, listen to Alan Burger's experiences in setting up his own company.

The TT100 winners are Alan Burger, CEO of Infoslips, an electronic document management company and Michael Campbell, CEO of Oxyrane, a company that develops chiral active ingredients and produces chiral intermediates through an efficient industrial-scale biocatalytic process. Both entrepreneurs shared their experiences in developing and commercialising new technologies and taking their companies to the next level, with a very interested and receptive audience.

The Hub's P•O•W•E•R Breakfast series of events brings together businesses, funders and representatives from the academic and research environments to exchange ideas and forge links that benefit the growth of the knowledge intensive community in Gauteng and nationally.

Technology Top 100 is South Africa's foremost business excellence awards programme.
