SkillsTrac, a recent addition to the community of companies at maxum, are providers of a simple, cost effective, internet based, integrated performance and competence monitoring solution which goes by the same name.

The Online SkillsTrac™ solution incorporates the synergy of best practices and latest technologies to enable the collection and collation of relevant performance management and competence assessment information via online forms. The solution also has the ability to automatically prepare performance agreements and personal development plans, as well as the company workplace skills plan and annual training report for submission to the relevant SETA.

According to one of the company's Directors, Christo Kloppers, the company's motto - "Simply smarter" - speaks for itself. Specifically designed and developed for the South African skills development environment, SkillsTrac™ easily empowers all levels of management to use the system, and provides central maintenance of ongoing legal compliance with changing regulatory requirements at no extra cost to users.

Kloppers, along with the other two directors - Dr Annelize Pretorius and Helene de Ridder, come from a Human Resources background. It was in this environment that they realised the need for a cost effective, internally managed and maintained, enterprise-wide integrated electronic solution for performance and competence monitoring.

The SkillsTrac™ system provides all this and is hassle free and easy to maintain. Because it is an off-site hosted web based application, companies can avoid expensive connectivity and system set up costs, resulting in the lowest cost solution of its nature in the SA market. There is no initial or ongoing consultant dependency and users pay only for what they use for as long as they choose to use it. Added to this, the system is fire walled and data security and confidentiality, reliability and full disaster recovery capability is guaranteed.

According to Kloppers, after one and a half years of intensive development, the SkillsTrac™ solution is now ready for roll-out, with a product launch planned for the very near future, right here in their brand new home. For the SkillsTrac™ team, the Hub has been an ideal home up to now. "We are very happy to be here in such a stimulating environment.
