Hub tenants tone their negotiating skills

And so to the last collective learning experience for the tenants of The Innovation Hub offered by The People Business Group, one of our valued Knowledge Partners. Presenter Jenny Senneck, a very skilled and knowledgeable facilitator, presented to a group of 23 Hub residents 'the art of negotiating' in business.

At the outset the group proved to be strong-willed and well informed on the topic until offered the opportunity to negotiate in a real scenario among their peers. With no set rules, no parameters and the goal - a lemon - the discussion prior to the negotiation on structure, logical argument, keeping focus and maintaining one argument identified the skills that the participants could improve on.

With good humor, competitive argument and a much-differentiated style, each group exposed their teams individual skills from great philosophical moments, the art of manipulation, feminine persuasion and good bargaining, the lemon was successfully negotiated and won by the "Bullies".

Enjoyed by all who participated and a clear acknowledgement that skills were learnt and relationships were built between tenants at another Hub event, our appreciation goes out to The People Business Group and Jenny for her facilitation and guidance.

We as the Hub Management Company express our gratitude to all our Knowledge Partners that have offered their skills and time during 2006 and all those Hub tenants that have attended. We look forward to a jam packed 2007.
