In addition to a true meeting of minds and exchange of wisdom and experiences, Paul highlighted some impressions about why the event was such a success:
"The passion and tangible way in which each one of the companies at the Hub exude enthusiasm into their businesses and interaction with fellow residents formed a solid founding theme for the Kgotla.
Koos van Der Lende provided the perfect backdrop as our guest photographic artist displaying the manifestation of passion into business success enthralling all who attended with his magnificent pieces. His dedication to perfection and the example of living out his dream could be discovered in each extraordinary exposure leaving our senses exhilarated and our imagination breathless.
Johan Kruger from Human Performance Technologies then challenged each of us on whether we were 'living our dream' and on how to get 'inside the mind of our client'. Johan speaking from years of experience in human interaction and psychological intervention admitted that he found living out his dream each day excited his work energy and motivated those people he trained. Johan the 'lion heart' perhaps describes him well.
Marinda Bandat from (Body Kinetics, CSIR Gym) challenged us on the state of our physical fitness and what we should be doing about it as a Biokineticist living out her passion. She then put forward a generous offer from her company and gym facility to all our precinct tenants. It is to be noted that Dr Comins, our TIH CEO and a regular gym attendee nodded in appreciation during Miranda's presentation and commented that there is nothing like physical exercise to get the passion juices flowing and our neurological abilities excited. Wise words, from a wise man.
Leading on from these passion-filled and exciting guests, it was time for our own tenant companies to present the depth of their passion and excitement at being in business and part of the TIH community. Within an air of excitement and thrilling expectation we were treated to elements of 'The cable man' Jim Carry, 'Dead Poets Society Robin Williams, 'Austin Powers' Mike Myers, 'Johnny English' Rowan Atkinson, 'Pretty Woman' Julia Roberts and the ultimate 'City Slicker' Johnny Bravo brilliantly acted out by our resident companies CEO's and MD's!
Needless to say, the event was a resounding success and great fun was had by all. Watch this space for more exciting feedback on forthcoming Kgotla@Hub events!
