Dynamic small company at Hub lands major aeronautical integration contract
Simulation and control specialist - and a tenant in the Maxum Business Incubator at the Hub - TMI Dynamatics, have been sub-contracted by Denel and Swedish company, Saab, to conduct external stores aeronautical integration for the South African Air Forces's new fighter aircraft, Gripen.
Technology stations model finds synergy with the Hub's mandate
Tshumisano Trust - the implementing agency for the Department of Science and Technology's (DST) Technology Station Programme (TSP) - has chosen The Innovation Hub as the new home for its Project Management Unit. Maxum launches first pilot pre-incubator through JCSE at Wits campus
The Maxum Business Incubator at The Innovation Hub recently entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Joburg Centre for Software Engineering at Wits to act as one of its pre-incubation facilities for ICT start up companies. The aim is to support these early stage companies to develop business plans prior to entering the formal business incubation phase.
FabLab at the Hub stimulates award-winning creativity
Almost a year and a half after the concept was first introduced to South Africa right here at The Innovation Hub, the "Fab Lab" or Fabrication Laboratory programme has grown in leaps and bounds across the country, with five FabLabs now operational in four provinces.
