First time offer for local technology companies wanting to expand internationally
A 'first ever in South Africa' intensive two-day workshop is on offer to technology companies that are planning to go international, or need to improve their current international operations.
The Innovation Hub has partnered with The York Group to present its "International Channel Development Programme" (ICDP) in South Africa for the first time.
The improvement in technology markets around the world has created exciting opportunities for South African companies that are serious about growing their business internationally. Many such companies are concerned about how and to start. The ICDP is a unique, cost-effective opportunity to obtain all the tools needed to succeed with international channel strategies.
The ICDP workshop presents a fully documented, step-by-step go-to-market programme that shows companies just how to go about this and lends itself to being implemented and managed by existing staff. Most importantly, the workshop format makes this programme affordable, particularly for growing software and technology companies.
Headquartered in the US and with 40 offices across 24 countries, The York Group has been developing international sales channels for successful technology companies since 1993.
This workshop is designed specifically for technology companies want to expand internationally and is limited to between four and six non-competing companies, each with up to four delegates.
Participating companies create their own international plans from the tools and documentation presented at the workshop, while ongoing local support will be available to assist with the implementation of these plans.
The first day of the programme is an intensive workshop with the sales and marketing team, focused on channel recruitment. The presenters take participants through their international channel development framework, first developing a strategy and then building the framework to create or improve the international sales presence. The second day is focused on managing the channel.
Outputs from the workshop include the international channel development framework, all the materials needed to complete an international plan including all the actions, activities and methodology to execute an international sales strategy, and copies of over 50 documents needed to execute a coordinated international channel development programme are provided.
The workshop takes place on 12 and 13 September 2005 in the Conference Venue at the Hub at a cost of R37 500 per company. This entitles each company to send up to four delegates and includes all materials (including a 130-page workbook), meals and refreshments.
