Hub selected as local partner for international programme

Dr Neville Comins, CEO of The Innovation Hub Management Company (Pty) Ltd, seen here with Harald Horgen, CEO of The York Group and Francois Triegaardt, the Country Manager for The York Group in South Africa.

Comments from some companies that have previously benefited from the programme:

Mr Bob Scheinfeld, VP of Sales and Marketing at Blue Ocean Software, a Florida-based help desk vendor that is now part of Intuit:

"The York Group gave us everything we needed," said Mr. Scheinfeld. "We hired an International Reseller Manager, and by implementing the plan from The York Group we grew international revenues ten-fold in three years."

Nick Bolton, CEO of Firetrust, the New Zealand creator of MailWasher and MailWasher Pro:

"The channel program delivered by The York Group is so comprehensive, self-explanatory and well-documented that we have been able to implement it in less than two months using our existing staff."

Mr Lee Kruszewski, VP of Sales and Marketing at Alberta Innovation & Science:

"The evaluations received from workshop participants demonstrated high satisfaction in terms of content, instructional style and overall quality and value"

The Innovation Hub has been chosen by The York Group to be its local partner for their prestigious global International Channel Development Programme (ICDP), which has its roots in more than 20 years experience in building successful international partnerships.

Headquartered in the US and with 40 offices across 24 countries, The York Group has been developing international sales channels for successful technology companies since 1993.

Currently presented in cities like Atlanta (Georgia); Auckland (New Zealand); Boston (Massachusetts); Calgary (Canada); Dallas (Texas); Denver (Colorado); New York (New York); Ottawa (Canada); Phoenix (Arizona); Raleigh (North Carolina); Sydney (Australia); Tel Aviv (Israel)and Toronto (Canada) - and now in South Africa - the ICDP is an intensive two-day channel development workshop.

Specifically designed for technology companies that are either planning to go international, or that need to improve their current international operations, participation in this programme is strictly by invitation only, and is limited to between four and six non-competing companies, each with up to four delegates.

The Innovation Hub is pleased to have partnered with the York Group to offer the programme in South Africa exclusively to readers of NewsBits and members of the INNOV8 high-tech and knowledge-intensive community.

The ICDP has been designed to offer a unique and cost-effective opportunity for your company to get all the tools it needs to succeed with its international channel strategy. Importantly, the programme has been designed so that it can be implemented and managed by existing staff.

Most importantly, though, the workshop format that has been adopted makes this programme affordable, particularly for growing software and technology companies.

In addition, each participating company will be able to create its own international plan from the complete set of tools and documentation presented at the workshop. On-going local support will also be available to help you implement your particular plan.

The improvement in technology markets around the world has created exciting opportunities for South African companies that are serious about growing their business internationally. Our feedback from the community to date, though, is that for many such companies the concern they have is where and how they start. The ICDP presents a fully documented, step-by-step go-to-market programme that shows companies just how to go about this.

Day-1 of the programme is an intensive workshop with your sales and marketing team, focused on channel recruitment. The presenters take you through their international channel development framework, first developing a strategy and then building the framework to create or improve your international sales presence. Day-2 is focused on managing the channel. The conclusions from day 1 are reviewed, and those areas that need further discussion or elaboration to create a practical revenue-generating channel programme for your business are identified. These issues are worked through with you to complete the workshop.

From the workshop sessions each participant will take away the framework and all the materials needed to complete their own international plan. This includes all the actions, activities and methodology to execute an international sales strategy. In addition to the plan itself, electronic copies of over 50 documents needed to execute a coordinated international channel development programme are provided.

The International Channel Development Programme has been designed and written by Harald Horgen, CEO of The York Group, who has over 20 years board-level experience in international ICT marketing organisations. The local programme will be presented by Harald and Francois Triegaardt, The York Group's Country Manager for South Africa.
