Exciting times ahead for Europa@Hub

A series of photographs showing interior and exterior views of Europa@Hub and the catering activities during the Official Opening of The Innovation Hub on 5 April this year.

Business has picked up since Europa@Hub opened its doors in the Innovation Centre at the Hub earlier this year. Overlooking the piazza that divides the two core buildings, the Innovation Centre and Enterprise Building, it offers the ideal venue for networking amongst tenants and their guests.

"The interaction and atmosphere is really good," according to Schmidt Ackermann, previously head of Europa's successful Montecasino outlet and now one of the directors of Europa@Hub. "Residents use this venue for business and informal networking. They simply find a quiet spot inside the restaurant where they plug in their laptops and carry on with their work in a relaxed environment."

Europa@Hub is a joint venture between the Europa restaurant chain and Gham Gourmet. It offers high quality food that is meticulously prepared, from breakfast to dinner and everything in between. It has an impressive selection of imported and house blends of coffee that caters for all tastes and a tempting range of sandwiches and cakes. Customers can choose from a wide selection of hearty meals for lunch at a fraction of the normal price.

Currently the restaurant's staff complement consists of about a dozen people. This number is set to grow when the restaurant opens a 'servery' in the near future to introduce more gourmet meals.

Europa@Hub caters for a variety of functions, from small boardroom functions to large outside events. It recently catered for the four hundred guests at the official opening of The Innovation Hub at the beginning of April. "On arrival, guests were served with a selection of canapes with wine. Later in the evening Swiss Raclette, Beef Tenderloin, Tasmanian salmon, Thai Chicken Curry and African Sunset - an array of African style delicacies - were on the menu," said Head of Banqueting, Anneline de Villiers.

Ackermann is upbeat about the future. "The Innovation Hub is an exciting client to work with. We were approached last year because the Hub was looking for a company with a proven record that could deliver a restaurant with a flexible yet upmarket feel. The conditions were a bit challenging at first because of the construction work, but things are getting better by the day and this is bound to be a successful venue," he concluded.
