NetCB boosts business collaboration through innovative technology

NetCB, short for 'Networking Collaboration in Business' focuses on the delivery of innovative and unique business solutions through a process of merging business processes and technology. The company uses methodologies developed over a period of more than a decade and employs a team of consultants with a wealth of experience and knowledge, spanning more than 15 years.

The NetCB team, from ltr Habib Ayob, Jan du Toit, Leon Nel, Johan van Zyl, Dewald Pelser, Warren Swartz and Juan Heyns, seen here on the balcony outside their offices in the Enterprise Building at the Hub.

NetCB's core focus areas can be categorised as identity management, business process management, management reporting and collaborative business. Their clients range from universities, to large organisations such as the South African Bureau of Standards and the South African Reserve Bank.

As a Novell Platinum Partner and the exclusive FuegoBPM distributor for Africa, NetCB is able to offer powerful solutions on a variety of platforms. Many of the company's own developments are increasingly making use of Open Source technologies which, according to CEO, Cobus Burgers, is set to become "the driving force within new technologies". The company has started their own Open Source Project, called EPA (Enterprise Policy Administration), to ensure their own contribution to the IT industry.

NetCB prides itself on its ability to provide versatile solutions that can be utilised across a variety of software platforms. "We are always looking at ways of assisting people to communicate effectively and how our solutions can be used to support the systems that are already in place", said Burgers.

He adds that the company's growth from a 'one-man-show' in 2003 to its present staff compliment of over 22 people is by no coincidence. "Our mission is to become one of the most well-known leaders in business collaboration and business process management and a major player in the Open Source environment. We have already been branded in the Novell industry as the only collaboration specialists in South Africa", he said.

Well regarded in its industry, NetCB needed a location that was equally reputable. It was after a protracted process of research and evaluation that the Hub was chosen as the company's new home. "This is the one place in the country where you get real value for money in terms of the added benefits, like interaction with other companies and exposure to technology", said Burgers.

According to him, NetCB is looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship with the Hub. With projects currently ongoing at the North-West University, Department of Home Affairs and the University of Limpopo, it would appear that this company - like the Hub itself - has no intention of slowing down.
