To this end, Online Intelligence is involved in the development of multi-user software applications, which transform collected risk and security-related information into structured intelligence to enable visualisation, analysis and management of data on all the functional and managerial levels of the security, investigative, analysis and risk management environments.
With clients ranging from mining and telecommunications companies, to companies within the banking industry, Online Intelligence has shown exceptional growth since their inception in 2001. According to Technical Director, Dewald Vorster, this has spurred the company to extend the use of their applications beyond the security and risk management industries.
The company's flagship product is the Online Risk Manager - an integrated application package which consists of modules for data warehousing, incident and investigation management, search and analysis, and graphical management information. This product allows the user to reveal and identify modus operandi, networks and trends.
There is also the Online Contract Manager, a unique system that facilitates the drafting and managing of legal agreements. It transforms the drafting of contractual agreements into a paperless process, creating a single portal from where these agreements can be managed.
Online Intelligence develops all its applications in-house. Constant innovation is the driving force behind their success. This fact alone, according to Vorster, was reason enough for Online Intelligence to make the Hub its new home. "A community like this is a real plus in our environment. The technical innovations going on here, as well as being in an environment where the companies are able to talk to each other and exchange ideas really fits in with what we do", he said.
The extension of their services now includes website development, and a clients in this regard is the Hub's own security service provider, Thorburn Security Solutions - once again demonstrating the benefits from collaboration that occurs within the Hub's networked community.
The company's current focus is on product development and from next year they will be looking towards roll-out and maintenance. Plans are underway to establish a service bureau, where Online Intelligence will be hosting the applications on behalf of clients and managing their data. They are also looking at providing training in intelligence management as well as data analysis, using their products as a basis.
