Proof that thinking about the future is indeed on the business agenda of INNOV8 members was bourn out at the recent "packed-to-the-rafters" SevN Days seminar on "Forecasting and Technological Evolution".
Hosted by The Innovation Hub in conjunction with FuTioN, the SevN Days interactive series of business seminars is one of a number of value-added initiatives launched to support business growth and development.
The seminar topic was designed to ensure that established and emerging companies are actively thinking about and adequately planning for the future. The formal presentation by seminar leader, Pria Chetty, the "legal eagle" at FuTioN - ably assisted by the company's founder and CEO, Franklin Pieterse - was followed by an interactive question and answer session that evolved into a highly animated discussion, with various and at times conflicting viewpoints being strongly represented.
The popularity of the "flaming vodkas" and the enthusiastic business networking that followed the lively debate again attested to just how energising and thought provoking these seminars are.
The SevN Days series is being presented exclusively for members of the Hub's INNOV8 community to share insights into key business management and strategic decision-making principles.
SevN Days is presented in partnership with FuTioN - one of The Innovation Hub's Knowledge Partners - as a free valued-added service for members of the local high-tech and knowledge-intensive community. Our Knowledge Partners form part of a select group of companies and individuals who generously support the efforts of innovators and entrepreneurs.
These short seminars are aimed at helping innovators and entrepreneurs in large and small companies alike to launch, or accelerate, their businesses into the future.
