"SevN Days" initiative adds value to members of The Innovation Hub community

The latest value-added initiative of The Innovation Hub - presented exclusively for members of the Hub's INNOV8 community - took place on 13 May. Known as SevN Days, this is a series of interactive business seminars aimed at sharing insights into key business management and strategic decision-making principles.

SevN Days is a series of highly interactive short seminars aimed at helping innovators and entrepreneurs launch, or accelerate, their businesses into the future. The seminars are designed to assist members of the INNOV8 community to boldly charter new business opportunities and to truly realise the potential of their ventures.

SevN Days is being presented in partnership with FuTioN - one of the Hub's Knowledge Partners - as a free value-added service for members of the local high-tech and knowledge-intensive community. The Innovation Hub's Knowledge Partners form part of a select group of companies and individuals who generously support the efforts of innovators and entrepreneurs.

The most recent seminar, entitled "Company Policy, Practice and Organisational Structure", considered how effective organisational structure creates a vehicle that will get your company into the future in an "energy efficient" manner. It explored how company policy may advance or hinder operations; and looked at issues of employee empowerment, combined with an appropriate level of authority and accountability. All of these aspects were considered in the context of operational effectiveness and efficiency.

The seminar leader was FuTioN founder and CEO, Franklin Pieterse, an acknowledged innovator, facilitator and visionary. The seminar format was again a short presentation, followed by interactive question/answer and discussion/debate slots, with refreshments over business networking to close.

Established initially to provide innovative business strategy solutions to ICT companies, to enable them to win in the African market, FuTioN now specialises in supporting companies in high-tech sectors to survive tough market conditions by repositioning them for future success.

If you are not yet part of the INNOV8 community, but would like to benefit from such value-adding opportunities and/or participate in the various business networking and other events, e-mail us at innov8@theinnovationhub.com or visit Value-Added Services on our website for further information.
