SevN Days stimulates debate within high-tech community
The most recent "packed-to-the-rafters" SevN Days seminar at The Innovation Hub, entitled "Business Continuity, Alignment and Quality Control", stimulated vigorous debate amongst attendees - all members of the INNOV8 high-tech community! The topic interactively explored the value of internal alignment for business development and growth, and how this quality carries a company in times of crises. It also investigated business continuity planning in times of various types of crises.
Challenging as ever, seminar leader Pria Chetty, Managing Executive at FuTioN argues that organisational alignment refers to the level of internal synergy in mindset, ambitions and direction that key individuals in a company display. It speaks to the extent to which key persons want the same things for the company and share a common understanding of the company's vision and purpose.
The SevN Days series, presented in partnership with FuTion, is a programme of interactive and sometimes controversial short seminars aimed at helping innovators and entrepreneurs - in large and small companies alike - launch, or accelerate, their businesses (or business units) into the future. Aimed exclusively at members of the Hub's INNOV8 community, these interactive business seminars create an environment for sharing insights into key business management and strategic decision-making principles. An interactive Q&A and discussion/debate slots follow the formal presentation. Thereafter there are "flaming vodkas" and opportunities for business networking.
FuTion is also one of The Innovation Hub's Knowledge Partners, offering a free value-added service for INNOV8 members. The Hub's Knowledge Partners form part of a select group of companies and individuals who generously support the efforts of innovators and entrepreneurs.
Established initially to provide innovative business strategy solutions to ICT companies, to enable them to win in the African market, FuTioN used the seminar to announce its shift from a strategic management company to officially focus on E-Commerce Legal Compliance and Information Security solutions.
FuTioN is committed to assisting companies with compliance and best practice in the areas of e-commerce and information security. Its key areas of consulting and training include e-commerce, intellectual property, commercial contracts and information security. Their professional staff has a strong identity in the ICT Industry, contribute to many chambers and committees working towards ICT advancement, and advise at all levels of strategic planning for implementation procedures for electronic communications and transactions laws and regulations. Importantly, they are "alert to the co-incidental nature of intellectual property to innovation and e-commerce, and are striving toward communicating that message to society and business".
