Business networking event attracts corporate sponsorship
Members of The Innovation Hub's INNOV8 high-tech community got together again in August for another Pub@Hub business networking event.
This particular Pub evening was made all the more memorable by the support of our very first Pub@Hub corporate sponsor, Adcock Ingram, which also sponsored the product hamper prizes for the "lucky draw".

Pub@Hub brings together leading lights of the local high-tech and knowledge intensive communities. They provide a place for creative, innovative and entrepreneurial souls to hobnob with local and international industry leaders and tech sector "movers and shakers". These popular evenings provide a focal point for the commercialisation of new technologies and the seeding of high-growth companies, while creating a flow among members of the INNOV8 community of cutting-edge ideas about markets, products, services, processes, new technologies and competition.
The "pub talker" at the event was patent attorney Russell Bagnall, a partner at the law firm of Adams & Adams.
Russell highlighted the key issues around Intellectual Property and the available protection mechanisms, and provided several important perspectives for those present.
The feedback from those who attend Pub@Hub events is that they continue to provide significant value to members of the INNOV8 community. This includes the opportunity to network with like-minded members of what is fast establishing itself as South Africa's premier high-tech and "knowledge-intensive" community network.
