Building South Africa's premier high-tech business community
| Our goal with the Pub@Hub evenings is to provide a focal point for the commercialisation of new technologies and the seeding of high-growth companies. Most importantly, for speeding up the flow of cutting-edge ideas about markets, products, services, processes and even available technologies and competition. |

Feedback from Martin Yuill, Enterprise Support and Networking Manager at The Innovation Hub
Members of The Innovation Hub's INNOV8 community got together on in June for another Pub@Hub business networking evening, which brings together leading lights of the local high-tech and knowledge intensive communities.
Featured "pub talker" at the event was international guest, Gregory Serandos, a Board member of the California-based Strategic Alliance WorldGroup (SAW).
SAW are international channel partners who assists small and medium sized Information and Communications Technology companies to penetrate and expand their international sales, marketing and product and service distribution channels. They provide a set of proprietary tools and programmes, as well as management, professional services teams and strategic alliance partners that enable companies to "go-to-market" internationally with minimal risk, investment, resources or impact to their core business.

Sphetho Siyenga and Themba Maseko both from the National Research Foundation were amongst guests who recently attended the INNOV8Pub@Hub event at The Innovation Hub. As is evident, and as usual, it was all about networks, networks, networks! |

Tshepo Matlala from MatReal, Sabine Hellyer from AEC-Amershamv and Charles Dettman from Adcock Ingram Scientific were also at the recent INNOV8Pub@Hub event at The Innovation Hub. |
According to Gregory, SAW serves as an "outsourced international division" of a client's firm, addressing all the elements in the foreign market-entry business chain, and providing access to a global business network that connects developers of next generation ICT products and services with potential customers and markets that might otherwise be outside their normal reach.
The feedback from those who attend these events is that they offer valuable business networking opportunities, providing a place where eager-to-do-business high-tech role-players from both big companies and small start-ups can interact with venture capitalists and leaders in the local knowledge economy industries.
