The aim of the seminar was to expose the delegates to the IT capabilities in South Africa and make them aware of government IT initiatives and local business opportunities. Nigeria is a cash rich country with oil and mining as their primary economic resources. The Nigerian government is actively seeking technological solutions to help address crime and corruption in the country.
The visitors interacted with the Hub management team and representatives from companies in the pilot business incubator and pre-incubation programme at the Hub. Discussions included investment in local IT, while there was also interest in taking up tenancy at The Innovation Hub.
"This interaction presented an opportunity to explore areas of mutual interest and share some interesting lessons learnt. It has certainly created a platform for further discussion." according to Dr Neville Comins, CEO of The Innovation Hub.
