Celebrating a major contract and graduation from the business incubator

The 3rd company after Expertron and Spline Technologies to join the pilot business incubator at The Innovation Hub during November 2000, Value Added Services Technologies (VASTech), has experienced significant business growth over the last year.

VASTech provides products and services to the communication industry and according to CEO, Frans Dreyer, "over the last year, business has escalated to the point where we recently had to start looking for bigger offices!"

Business growth at VASTech recently resulted in graduation from
the Hub's business incubator and a move to bigger offices!

As a result, VASTech is the second company to graduate from the incubator at The Innovation Hub to associate company status, and will soon occupy space in the temporary multi-tenant facilities.

VASTech concluded its first major contract worth R2.4 million with an international client during the latter part of last year. In addition during Oct 2002, they became an OEM supplier to Siemens AG in Germany and have signed an international distributor agreement with Spescom DataVoice to resell their products, bundled with their own, into world markets.

The relationship between DataVoice and VASTech has already been of mutual benefit, as VASTech has sold several systems into Africa and Asia Pacific.
