Opportunities for ICT SMMEs at a high profile event
The South Africa for the Global Advantage Summit is the 2nd in a series of trade and investment events to encourage deal making between foreign and southern African countries. Organised by the International Trade Group (ITG), the summit, which will take place in Johannesburg in May this year, is sponsored and endorsed by President Thabo Mbeki's International Marketing Council and a number of high profile organisations, associations and media partners in South Africa.
The trade exhibition that forms part of the summit will, this year, host a number of industry sector Expo Villages where carefully selected small, medium and micro enterprises in the identified sectors will be given a unique, "free-of-charge" opportunity to promote themselves to buyers, investors and decision-makers in their sector.
Each Expo Village will have a media partner - the leading trade magazine for that sector - to promote the event and stimulate high-level attendance of the Expo. The exhibiting SMMEs will also benefit from pre-scheduled meetings arranged by the organisers during the event and will be invited to attend workshops to assist in promoting and marketing themselves more effectively.
As the associate partner in the ICT Village, The Innovation Hub is assisting the organisers to identify ICT SMMEs interested in participating in the Expo. The Hub, in cooperation with the ICT Village sponsor, will select the 15-20 SMMEs that will be exhibiting in the ICT Village.
