Electrosoft joins technology design company
ElectroSoft, one of the first start-ups to join the pilot business incubator at The Innovation Hub, recently joined Des-Pro Technology, a technology design company specialising in products for industrial communications, measurement and control, with branches in Pretoria and Potchefstroom.
Electorsoft's Managing Director, Dr Johann Holm, joined the Des-Pro team in Potchefstroom, while Jaco Steenkamp and Zodwa Mahlangu are located at the Pretoria branch, now a tenant at The Innovation Hub's temporary facilities. The Pretoria branch provides product and configuration management while the Potchefstroom branch is responsible for system integration and administration. This combination is highly effective and will provide the market with product and produce service support that is hard to beat.

Des-Pro's markets include the mining industry, commercial markets and the manufacturing industry. Specific applications include measurement and control, mining process automation (in which a recent success was recorded), logistic management, environmental monitoring (also a recent success), and utility applications such as water quality monitoring, energy management, pump control and others. Since the products are versatile, innovation is possible in applying the technology to security, smart building management and agriculture.
The Des-Pro product range include FIELDBUS communications modules that communicate over RF, fibre optic, ethernet, power-lines, and copper. In addition, processing and measurement modules include PLC modules, network interface modules, and sensors such as intrinsically safe flammable gas detectors (for safety and fire detection), airflow sensors, and active RF tags.
This product range is aimed at providing a total solution to the client, and new products are continuously being developed to address the demand for smart products in the market.
