Students participating in the ITCoachLab
The CoachLabTM model, launched by The Innovation Hub two years ago, has the potential to develop cross-faculty and multi-disciplinary teams that provide students with a unique educational experience. The first pilot, an ITCoachLab, is in its second year of operation, with postgraduate students from the University of Pretoria working on specific research projects under the mentorship of industry experts from Epi-Use [Pty] Ltd, the industry partner in this initiative. A review of the pilot has indicated that it is producing a new dimension of experience and is attracting business interest for expansion.

The 2002 ITCoachLab participants are (left to right): Richard van der Wath,
Emil Saayman, Jacques Buitendag, Pamela Hill, David Naylor, Ralesai Moshoaduba and
Ntosh Wayi.
Absent from the photograph are Mark Hinch and Christian Mouton. |
