Hub's pre-incubation programme attracts innovators

Innovative applications and international partnerships are some of the components of two exciting young companies that recently joined the pilot pre-incubation programme at The Innovation Hub.

Thlolo Communications develops and customises software to contribute to the upliftment of education in the country, while TCI.Thoreb (Pty) Ltd provides computerised electrical systems and real-time information for the transportation industry.

"We are really heartened by the evident interest in our pilot pre-incubation programme and by the levels of enthusiasm and commitment of the people who are currently participating," said Mr Tsietsi Maleho, Empowerment Initiatives Manager at the Hub. "There is obviously a very real need amongst the previously disenfranchised communities in our country for assistance to turn smart ideas into viable and successful businesses. When we see the levels of commitment amongst these entrepreneurs and innovators to work really hard to achieve success, we are more than willing to support them to do exactly that," he added.
