Increasingly today, companies in our network-based economy are becoming aware of the benefits of sharing ideas and working together. In response, The Innovation Hub is creating the framework for a "virtual home" for high-tech entrepreneurs.
This includes creating the elements of a cyberspace-based community where innovators and high-tech entrepreneurs - from wherever they may be located geographically - can share experiences and learn from one another. Over time, the plan is to develop on-line structures for computer-mediated meetings, informal exchanges, information sharing sessions, training programmes and technical and financial discussions so that participants can benefit interactively from the inputs and contributions of experienced business professionals and technical experts.
In addition, a virtual "technology showcase" (working title: The Switch) is being conceptualised to provide promotional and transactional opportunities for companies in the "knowledge-intensive" sectors that will facilitate and enhance their introduction to international markets.
We would like to invite high-tech entrepreneurs, start-up companies, knowledge-intensive SMEs or any other entities or interested parties, including professional service providers, academics, researchers or venture capitalists, that share the passion of making our vision a reality, to register as friends, supporters or participants in this virtual community.
