Hub welcomes new Board Members

The Innovation Hub Management Company (Pty) Ltd welcomes the appointment of two new members to its Board, as approved at the Board meeting in September this year.

Ms Sandy Lowitt is the Chief Strategic Officer at Blue IQ, and Mr Irvin Naidoo is a Portfolio Manager, also at Blue IQ. Ms Lowitt replaces Mr Oren Fuchs and Mr Naidoo takes up a vacant position on the Board. Their terms are effective from 16 September 2002 for a period of two years.

Blue IQ is a multi-billion Rand initiative by the Gauteng Provincial Government to invest in economic infrastructure development projects to create Gauteng as a "smart" province. The development of The Innovation Hub as one of these 11 mega-projects, is a partnership between Blue IQ and SERA, the Southern Education and Research Alliance, itself a partnership between the CSIR and the University of Pretoria to create the skills and capacity for South Africa to compete globally in science and technology.
