Hub interacts with young entrepreneurs
The Innovation Hub was present at the recently held Student Entrepreneur Conference, presented by Student Village - South Africa's largest online student community.
It was the first ever Entrepreneur Conference for tertiary students from around the country. The main focus of the conference was spreading the entrepreneurial spirit among the youth of South Africa. About 100 student leaders involved in entrepreneurship from over 20 universities and technikons around the country met in Johannesburg for the conference, which centred on empowering students to harness their creativity, start their own businesses that would employ others, thereby contributing to the growth of our economy.
As building relationships and networking play an important role in aiding students to facilitate entrepreneurial ventures, Student Village also included an Entrepreneurial Fair within the conference.
The Innovation Hub exhibited at this fair to utilise the opportunity of interacting with South Africa's future entrepreneurs. It provided insight into what young entrepreneurs envision for the future of the country and an opportunity of communicating the Hub's core business and objectives to the students.
