Infrastructure development milestones for the next period
Negotiations with Tshwane Metro are at an advanced stage to finalise the service level agreements and resolve the final technical and environmental issues to submit to the Development Facilitation Act Tribunal. Ongoing discussions are taking place with the National Roads Agency to finalise the issues relating to the interchange from the N1 freeway.
With the master plan for the development reaching finality, the detailed design phases are imminent. The procurement of services will follow a Request for Information (RFI) process, to identify potential service providers who will be requested to forward proposals.
The RFIs that will be released are for the design of:
- temporary access roads and permanent perimeter fencing, including small works
- the bridge over the existing N1 highway and associated road works
- bulk electricity and internal reticulation
- an Innovation Centre building
- a multi-tenant building
- a link road, west & east
- internal roads and services, and
- the landscaping for the precinct.
