Partners - Memberships

The Innovation Hub is a Full Member of the International Association of Science Parks (IASP), through which we can access marketing and business linkages to hundreds of other Science Parks in over 50 countries. Our international collaborative relationships also gives us access to a wealth of experience through training, mentorship and advice from leading Science Parks in countries, amongst others the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Singapore, Sweden and Malaysia.

In addition, our Business Incubator is a member of the National Business Incubator Association (NBIA), which provides a wealth of information on international best practice in Business Incubation.

A number of our staff have been nominated to or are serving on Boards and Associations where there is synergy with the Hub’s activities. These include:

• The Board of Trustees of two of the GODISA incubators, the eGoliBio Life Science Incubator and the Softstart Technology and Business Incubator
• The Chairman of SABTIA, the newly established South African Business and Technology Incubation Association – its role is to serve as an umbrella body for incubators in South Africa and to encourage collaboration, sharing and best practice between all types of business incubators in the country
• The adjudication panel for the Technology Top 100 awards.
• Membership of the National Committee of the Swedish Challenge Award for Invention and Innovation (Innovation for Development in Eastern and Southern Africa [IDESA])
• Membership of the Advisory Board of the National Laser Centre.
