eKasi Summit is The Innovation Hub initiative to advance the spectrum for SMEs, aspiring entrepreneurs, technology enthusiasts and local businesses and communities at large. The summit is targeted at SME’s who are primarily operating in the townships and the greater Gauteng City Region. The focus will be mainly on companies that are using technology to grow their businesses, impact of technology to drive township businesses and how to get their business ready for commercialisation.

eKasiLab is The Innovation Hub vehicle to promote the culture of Innovation and entrepreneurship in the township focusing on new innovative output in the community, in line with Township modernisation and re-industrialisation / Township Economy Revitalisation Provincial economic policies as well as innovative Entrepreneurship in the community, including social entrepreneurship. By rolling out traditional programme / offering by Innovation hub, closer to the people / youth in the township. 

Representatives from the Technology Innovation Agency, City of Tshwane, SEDA, National Youth Development Agency, SEFA, and National Empowerment Fund will be in attendance.
