Tshilidzi is the Deputy Chairman of the GGDA Board of Directors and serves as the Chairman on the Board of The Innovation Hub Management Company, a subsidiary company of GGDA. He is also a member of the GGDA Group Social and Ethics Board Committee.
Tshilidzi holds a BA Honours in Politics and Development Studies degree from Rand Afrikaans University (now University of Johannesburg). He has a Magister Philosopiae (MPHIL – Political Economy) from the University of Port Elizabeth (now Nelson Mandela University). He graduated his Ph.D. from the Biden School of Public Policy and Administration, University of Delaware, in the United States of America.
He started work at the Gauteng Provincial Government, where he served as the Spokesperson of the MEC for the Education Department and Deputy Director in the Premier’s Office. He then served the South African National Government in various senior managerial positions at the Government Communication and Information System. He subsequantly joined the private sector and became involved in a number of businesses in the Property and Mining sectors.
Tshilidzi is currently also the Chairman of Bokamoso Barona Trust and Kaborona Investment Holdings respectively. He serves in the Board of the Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflections (MISTRA). Furthermore, he is the Founder and Chairman of the Global Consortium for Africa’s Economic Development, which is pursuing the New Cities New Economies vision and Head of the Global Institute for Sustainable and Smart New Cities.
